| Abstract: | Diplomová práce si klade za cíl představit interkulturní rozdíly mezi Českou republikou a Švýcarskou konfederací. Jádro práce se soustředí na oblasti, v nichž se obě země odlišují a zároveň zmiňuje znaky, kterými jsou si tyto kulturní celky podobné. Důraz je zde mimo jiné kladen na rozdíly při obchodním jednání. Součástí této práce je výzkum, jenž zahrnuje kvantitativní a kvalitativní šetření. První část výzkumu proběhla za pomoci dotazníku od Geerta Hofstedeho. Druhá část byla realizována během rozhovorů s kritickými incidenty, které vychází z teorie kulturních standardů od Alexandra Thomase. V závěru práce jsou obě části výzkumu porovnávány. Výzkumné šetření potvrdilo teoretické poznatky v první kapitole diplomové práce a pomohlo najít odpovědi na výzkumné otázky, které jsou stanoveny v úvodu. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to present the intercultural differences between the Czech Republic and the Swiss Confederation. The core of the thesis focuses on the areas in which these two countries are different. At the same time it mentions the features in which these cultural entities are similar. Among other things, emphasis is placed on the differences in business meetings. Research that includes quantitative and qualitative investigations is also part of this thesis. The first part of the research was conducted using a questionnaire by Geert Hofstede. The second part was conducted during critical incident interviews based on the cultural standards theory by Alexander Thomas. At the end of the thesis, the two parts of the research are compared. The research confirmed the theoretical findings in the first chapter of and helped to find answers to the hypothesis set out in the introduction. |
