Project of live broadcasts from the international field hockey tournament

The thesis deals with project management in the field of live streaming production, starting with the professional planning, the realization of the preparations and the subsequent implementation, i.e., the realization of the streams of the EuroHockey Club Challenge I, Women – Rakovník, 2022. The solution uses mainly scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, guided interviews, and testing. At the same time, it applies professional project management methods according to the international standard PMBOK Guide. The theoretical background is explained in the first two parts of the thesis. The first part relates to the field of ICT project management. The second part deals with the issue of live video production with a focus on sports broadcasting. The theoretical knowledge is further applied in the practical part. The latter describes the actual implementation of the project across all its life cycles, including its displacement associated with the covid-19 pandemic. It also seeks to popularise field hockey in the Czech Republic and the long-term development of the production of live broadcasts by the Czech Field Hockey Federation. Negotiations with interested parties (mainly the European Hockey Federation, the Czech Field Hockey Federation and HC 1972 Rakovník) are outlined. The author has also included copies of key documents, together with justifications and detailed descriptions. A complete project plan is presented, including a detailed analysis of project activities, risk management and addressing cost, resource, and schedule issues. It then discusses the actual implementation of the project and describes the technical and organizational solutions, including procedures. Finally, project closure is documented including stakeholder feedback, analysis and lessons learned.
