| Abstract: | Evropská unie je závislá na dovozu energie a výpadky dodávek mohou negativně ovlivnit hospodářství a energetickou bezpečnost Evropy. V tomto kontextu má Norsko strategický význam jako hlavní energetický partner EU, zejména v oblasti zemního plynu. V posledních letech se význam norských zdrojů zvýšil kvůli omezení dovozu zemního plynu z Ruska v důsledku války na Ukrajině, což také podnítilo EU k učinění razantních kroků k posunu od fosilních paliv k obnovitelným zdrojům. Norsko disponuje velkými zásobami zemního plynu a vyspělou energetickou infrastrukturou a technologiemi, které mohou hrát klíčovou roli v posilování evropské energetické bezpečnosti. |

| Abstract: | The European Union is dependent on energy imports so supply disruptions can have a negative impact on Europe's economy and energy security. In this context, Norway holds strategic importance as a major energy partner of the EU, particularly in terms of natural gas. In recent years, the significance of Norwegian resources has increased due to restrictions on natural gas imports from Russia following the war in Ukraine. This situation has also forced the EU to take significant steps towards the transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources. Norway possesses substantial reserves of natural gas and has advanced energy infrastructure and technologies which can play a leading role in advancing European energy security. |
