| Abstract: | This paper focuses on the renewable energy market, examining the causal relationship between state support and innovation in the example of two different countries. Furthermore, firm-level indicators such as the number of released patents and the R&D spending for each country are taken into account while analysing how the state’s support of renewable energy technologies affects the innovation outcomes. The findings indicate that renewable energy policies affect the innovation outcomes in the renewable energy sector in Italy, but does not affect Sweden. |

| Abstract: | Tato práce se zaměřuje na trh s obnovitelnými zdroji energie a zkoumá na příkladu dvou různých zemí kauzální vztah mezi státní podporou a inovacemi. Při analýze vlivu státní podpory obnovitelných zdrojů energie na inovace jsou zohledněny rovněž ukazatele na úrovni firmy, jako je počet uvolněných patentů a výdaje na výzkum a vývoj pro každou zemi. Zjištění naznačují, že vliv politiky obnovitelné energie se liší v jednotlivých zemích, a sice že ovlivňují výsledky inovací v sektoru obnovitelné energie v Itálii, ale neovlivňují je ve Švédsku. |
