Abstract:
The goal of the thesis is to investigate the dynamic realm of hospitality industry Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with the purpose of finding an in-depth understanding of the employee embodiment of CSR in hotel operations departments and explore the motivation factors influencing this embodiment. Therefore to answer the proposed research questions, qualitative research was conducted in the form of interviewing 15 hotel operations employees with questionnaires build based on previous secondary research studies of hotel CSR practise and factors of employee motivation. The qualitative data collected was then analysed and divided into two main categories: ‘Employee Embodiment of CSR’ and ‘Motivational Factors Influencing Employee Embodiment of CSR’. Examining both of these categories contributed to accomplishing the thesis objectives, addressing the research inquiries, and arriving at a dependable conclusion.
