Soft Skills: Communication Skills as a Prerequisite for Successful Management in Public Administration

The thesis examines soft skills and their impact on successful management in public administration. It has been proven that in today's world, it is the soft skills of managerial staff that are crucial for effective and successful team management, especially in the public sector where a specific form of leadership is applied. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of managerial soft skills on team management in public administration. To achieve this goal, qualitative methods of semi-structured interviews with managerial staff and quantitative methods of a questionnaire survey with subordinate employees in a selected organization were used. This data collection enabled the answering of three research questions. Subsequently, the posed hypothesis was tested using Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results provide a relevant set of managerial recommendations for improving the current state of soft skills among employees of the selected organization. The thesis contributes to a better understanding of the role of managerial soft skills in the context of public administration and provides practical recommendations for improvements in this area.
